NEW TO FOLLOWING JESUS?

1 John 1:9 tells us:
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness."

If you made the decision to confess your sin to Jesus and follow Him, you are beginning an exciting journey. After celebrating your decision, a time will come when you'll ask,
"What's next?"

We would love to help walk you through the next steps in your journey in following Christ.

Baptism

As you grow in your faith, please prayerfully consider being baptized. Baptism is a public declaration of our faith, and helps us communicate our dedication to Jesus to the world around us.

The heavens are rejoicing because of your decision, and so is your church family.

GROW IN FAITH
Attend weekly worship services, in person as much as you can, and start plugging into our Wednesday Night Groups.

As you continue to explore your faith, we encourage you to attend our Faith Track course. In a small group setting, we will explore four facets of faith that we believe are core to everyone's journey.
Grow in knowledge

Download the YouVersion Bible app on your phone and add "Shawnee Alliance Church" as your home church. We'll send invitations to read devotionals together as a church and converse on the app about what we're learning. The devotionals align with the pastors' messages on Sundays to help us dive deeper into our faith. Together, we'll walk through devotionals. In addition, each day, you'll have a Daily Refresh that will help you stay grounding in the Scriptures and Prayer.

Choose community

Our faith grows deeper when we spend time with others who love Jesus. Join a Life Group, or start with Faith Track which will introduce you to others as we learn about our faith and Shawnee Alliance Church.

Grow in service

We believe that serving others in our church and community is an expression of worship and a vital part of the Christian life. When we volunteer, God works through us to accomplish His transforming work in in us, and in others' lives. As you look to partner with God in this way, you can find many opportunities on our Volunteer page.
