Volunteering & serving
We believe that serving others in our church and community is a vital part of Christian life. There are many opportunities to get more involved by serving together! Please check out the list of volunteer opportunities below.
FAMILY LIFE MINISTRY
Our Family Life Ministry encompasses our Nursery-Preschool, Children's, and Student Ministries (birth-grade 12). Whether you are interested in helping with our regular ministries or during special events, we would love for you to join our team! Please start by filling out the volunteer form below, and we will contact you soon!
The purpose of the Worship Ministry is to use music and song to provide an environment for people to glorify God and experience life transformation. Each week, hundreds of people come together at Shawnee Alliance to enter into God's divine presence through thanksgiving, praise and worship. Accomplishing this requires a large group of people who use their gifts and talents to serve God and minister to the hearts of His people. If are a musician, vocalist, or interested in audio/visual technology, please fill out the volunteer form below and we will contact you soon!
Our Hands-On Ministry focuses on being the hands and feet of Jesus, serving others in whatever way they need! Whether it's helping someone with house cleaning or meals, transportation or small home repairs, we pair the need with someone who can help! If you're interested in serving with the Hands-On Ministry, please fill out an online application below. If you have any questions, please contact us at email@example.com.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS TEAM
From our friendly greeters to the early risers who prepare the coffee, our First Impressions Team welcomes each guest to a new experience with God each week. Joining this team is also a great way to take a first step in serving at Shawnee Alliance and to get to know others quickly.
We have several serving groups available, including volunteering at Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen and helping with funeral dinners and other meals. Our Stamp Ministry meets monthly to enjoy community while cutting stamps to raise money for Missions.
Upward Basketball and Cheerleading registration opens in October each year for both participants (grades K-4) and volunteers. Many volunteers are needed including coaches, referees, food and snack shack servers, check-in, cleanup, and more!
Here are some ministries that are doing great things in our community.
