Communion is a visible sign that symbolizes the death of Jesus Christ. When a follower of Christ takes communion they are reminding themselves that Jesus shed his blood and his body was broken to remove our sins and the judgment of God. The cup symbolizes the blood of Jesus and the bread symbolizes the body of Jesus. Communion is also a reminder that Jesus Christ is coming back physically to earth as the Triumphant Messiah, which Jesus predicted and the Old Testament prophesied. Here at Shawnee Alliance communion is offered in a variety of ways and if you are new to Shawnee Alliance and a follower of Jesus Christ, you are welcome to participate in Communion.
